- The Delaware Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association will hold its general membership and nominating meeting on Saturday, June 29 in the horsemen’s office.
- WDDE is reporting (here) that the state Senate yesterday tabled legislation that would allowed for reduced racing days. Both Delaware Park racetrack and the state’s Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association have agreed to support legislation allowing the minimum number of days — currently set by law at 100 — to decline to 81. However, some senators expressed concern that the bill would both reduce the number of days and remove legislative oversight of the dates issue.
