Delaware Park to race 81 days in 2014

Delaware Park announced the dates for the 2014 live racing season today.  The 77^th season of live racing at the Stanton oval will feature 81 days with the meet starting on May 17 and concluding on October 22.

In May, live racing will be held on the 17, 21, 24, 26, 28 and 31.  From June 2through September 6, live racing will be conducted on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.  Beginning on September 8, Monday will be dropped from the schedule and live racing will be conducted on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday through closing day October 22.  Daily first race post time is set for 1:15 p.m.

Delaware Park’s premier races, the Delaware Oaks (Gr. II) and the Delaware Handicap (Gr. I), will be held on July 5 and July 12, respectively.
