At Charles Town, favored Attractive Ride was hard sent from the gate by rider J.D. Acosta, had a head in front after a quarter mile, and took control from there en route to a two-length win in the $35,000 Ranson Handicap. Golden Set edged Lightly Wound for the place. Two trainers hit two-baggers at Parx Racing on Tuesday’s card. Scott Lake took a pair of claiming events, the sixth with I’m Sure (3.10-1) and the seventh with Runnin Bull (4-1). Meanwhile, John Tammaro, III also took two, also winning two claiming events, in the second with Louisa Girl (1.90-1) and the ninth with Bluegrass Demon (4.70-1). Jacqueline Davis had both mounts for Tammaro. For Tammaro, those were his first two wins of the year at Parx; he now has three wins overall…
Despite running very greenly through the lane, Alex Inc, a three year-old Pennsylvania-bred son of Afleet Alex sent off at 1-9. obliterated a field of first-level allowance horses by more than 11 lengths. He went directly to the lead under rider Frankie Pennington, maintained the edge for three-quarters of a mile, and then drew clear easily despite swerving in and out. Running time for the two-turn mile was a zippy 1:35.41…
