None this weekend.[/boxify]
In truth, it’s something of a nondescript weekend of racing in the mid-Atlantic. There are no stakes taking place in the region — though next weekend should be a big one — and more than a few of the races will go with short fields. The weekend’s allowance and maiden special events:

- Parx – Maiden special weight, Race 4, 1:46 p.m.
- Pimlico
- Maiden special weight, Race 5, 3:02 p.m.

ELSEWHERE… TOP MIDLANTIC-BREDS IN ACTION
None of the horses among the leaders of the Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred/ The Racing Biz Top Midlantic-bred Poll are in action this weekend, although Extrasexyhippzster — ranked sixth among three year-olds — is in the Grade 1 Bluegrass Stakes from Keeneland…
In fact, it’s easy to see that Keeneland’s huge Saturday card could have a significant impact on both the three year-old and older horse polls. Other Midlantic-breds in action on the card:
- Havelock (MD), 4-1, G3 Shakertown
- Go Blue or Go Home (VA), 6-1, G3 Shakertown
- Kitten’s Point (PA), 5-1, G1 Jenny Wiley — Kitten’s Point was the seventh-ranked older horse this week.
- Emotional Kitten (PA), 10-1, G1 Jenny Wiley — Emotional Kitten was the ninth-ranked older horse this week.
And in other graded action nationally:
- Zeewat (PA), 12-1, Grade 2 Potrero Grande (SA) — Zeewat was the 11th-ranked older horse this week.
