From a Delaware Park release
All wagers were refunded in the third race at Delaware Park today because of a technical issue. A temporary communications/tote malfunction allowed the mutuel pool for the race to remain open after the race started, compromising the integrity of the pool. The issue remains under investigation. Subsequent races took place without issue.
A consolation double and pick three were paid to bettors. For multi-race sequences continuing beyond the third — such as the pick four, as well as a pick three — the race became an “all” race. All other wagers were refunded.
Cowboy Nekia won the race, a $15,000 maiden claimer for two-year-olds contested at five furlongs.
