From a Laurel Park release
The Maryland Jockey Club announced Tuesday that it will introduce rolling Super Hi 5’s at Laurel Park beginning Friday, Oct. 2.
The 50-cent wager will begin with the first race every day and the jackpot will roll over from race-to-race until there are winning tickets with the first five finishers. If the Super HI 5 or carryover is not hit on the last race of the day, the jackpot will roll over to the first race of the next live day of racing.
“We’re always looking to try new wagers, new ways to give our bettors something different,” said Maryland Jockey Club President and GM Sal Sinatra. “In the past year we’ve been doing a lot of different things in Maryland, whether on the front side, backstretch, food and beverage, wagering or the racing program. We want to continue trying different things to enhance our customer’s experience. We’ll look at the rolling Super Hi 5’s when they begin and see what the level of interest is. I think it’s important to continue to always work on new ideas.”
