Matt Rispoli will ride for trainer Marcus Vitali and owner Crossed Sabres Farm. The Virginia-bred has won three of 11 starts this year and most recently was fifth in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile. Overall, the son of Medaglia d’Oro has won 10 of 32 career starts and earned $774,677. Valid is ranked fourth in the latest Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred/The Racing Biz Top Midlantic-bred Poll.

Trainer John Mazza has named Orlando Bocachica to ride the four-year-old daughter of Stephen Got Even, who has won half of her six starts this year and overall has five wins from 14 starts and earnings of $228,759. She is a homebred for Holly Crest Farm.
