Trevor McCarthy takes three

Jockey Trevor McCarthy won the first three races Friday at Laurel Park, but it was Jevian Toledo who won the first turf race of the season.
McCarthy rode the early double with Memento d’Oro ($6.60) in the first and Pom Pom Pistol ($4.80) in the second, and came back to win the third race aboard J La Tache ($3).
Toledo won the first turf race of the 2016 season at Laurel when he rode Jose Gallegos-Hernandez’s 6-year-old mare Emelina ($5.80) to victory in the seventh race. He also won aboard Uncle Teddy ($6.60) in the fifth.
Saturday’s 10-race program will feature a Pick5 carryover of $4,101.87 while the Super Hi 5 Carryover in the first race will be $2,400.77.
