Charles Town sets 2018 sked for first quarter

The first four months of Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races live calendar for 2018 have been set with 60 days of live racing to be conducted from January 10 through April 21 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
Post time for the first race is slated for 7:00 P.M. EST on these days, with the exception of April 21 when the card will kick off at 12:30 P.M. EST. In order to meet procedural requirements, the remainder of Charles Town’s 2018 calendar is expected to be taken up and finalized in the coming weeks.
In 2017, Charles Town had a 166-day racing calendar, with four days of live racing on the schedule each week from January 11 through May 20 and three days each week thereafter. The 2017 meet, which concludes December 23, has been highlighted by the Charles Town Classic April 22, Race for the Ribbon and Charles Town Oaks on September 23, and the 31st West Virginia Breeders Classics October 14.
