Parx has an 12-race card on tap for this Tuesday afternoon. Post time for the opener is 12:55 p.m., and we’ve got a couple horses to watch and Parx Racing picks.

It’s a solid card, with several allowance races and a couple of intriguing runners.on the docket.

HORSES TO WATCH

RACE 6- PENNSYLVANIA-BRED ALLOWANCE, 3YO AND UP, 6 1/2 FURLONGS ON THE DIRT

  • How talented is #4 Dreams Untold (8-5)? That’s a question we’ll get more data on in here. The John Servis trainee broke his maiden by 14 lengths locally at second asking. In his follow-up, in Laurel’s Miracle Wood Stakes, he had a disastrous start and fell completely out of contention before making a huge move into second. He tired late from those exertions, but that was an eye-catching move, and in his first post-coronavirus break start, at Delaware, he won an allowance against a solid field, two of whom returned to win. This is one to keep an eye on.

RACE 10- PENNSYLVANIA-BRED ALLOWANCE, FILLIES AND MARES 3YO AND UP, 6 FURLONGS ON THE DIRT

  • When last seen, #6 Pink Caddy (5-2) was obliterating the field in Delaware’s Small Wonder Stakes by nearly seven lengths. That was back in late September, though, and she Randy Allen trainee hasn’t raced since. The daughter of El Padrino is a half-sister to multiple graded winner Call Paul, and the truth is, she hasn’t run a bad race on the main track, with two wins and a third from three tries. She may need one, but if she comes back in form, she should be right there at the end.

RACE NUMBERHORSESCOMMENTS
Race 63, 4Switch back to main track makes #3 Fortheluvofbourbon (5-2) most likely upsetter if Dreams Untold fails to fire…
Race 71A, 2, 9Awad Stakes winner #2 Buy Land and See (8-5) will be tough to beat if he fires in first of ’20… Chuckie Lawrence-trained #9 Dee Jay (9-2) makes turf bow after 17-length maiden score, and sire Imagining loved the green…
Race 81, 2, 7Easy maiden score last time for Servis trainee #2 Girardi (5-2), and one beaten rival returned to graduate, but beware of too short a price; final time nothing to write home about… Lightbulb on for #7 Arima (8-1), who ran away and hid from her rivals in final furlong last out? Not sure she beat much but did it nicely…
Race 91, 5, 7Absolutely love the #5 Mucha Mezquina (7-2) in this spot off her last-out win when she squeezed back to last after the break, was rank in the early going, then rallied to prevail; two of three to run back from that race have won their follow-ups, and this one could easily make it three of four…
WAGERING…The track offers rolling Pick 3 wagers and rolling doubles, and P3s using all of our horses above starting in races 6 and 7 would cost $18 for a buck and $27 for a buck. If that’s too much, the most likely winner in the sequence is probably Buy Land and See (R7), and the best value proposition is Mucha Mezquina (R9). Good luck!
