How’d we do last time at Parx?
RACE NUMBER | CONTENDERS | COMMENTS |
Race 1 | 4-5-3-1A | Top choice #4 Lula’s Roadrunner (5-2) has been keeping generally better company than these and ought to sit a good trip close enough to the speed… #5 Reiterate (5-1) probably isn’t quite fast enough to win in this group — she’s been losing against lesser — but it’s not a great group and she does project as the controlling speed… #3 Lucky Imagination (7-2) drops in for a tag for the first time and has credible efforts against better, but you have to wonder if she’ll have too much work to do late… #1A This Round’s Mine (3-1, part of entry) has run some OK races on the turf and synthetic at Woodbine, makes dirt bow here; the other half, #1 Mustn’t Grumble, also has some pretty OK tries on the plastic but her lone dirt try — albeit against much better in a field that included two subsequent graded stakes runners — was poor… |
Race 7 | 3-5-2-6 | Top choice #3 Vino Y Queso (3-1) looks poised to graduate in her third career start here after finishing in the money twice; last time she had a four-wide journey and tried the winner at the quarter-pole, and while she couldn’t go with that one, she was a clear second; the added ground’s a question mark, but the breeding suggests it shouldn’t be beyond her scope… Morning line favorite #5 Bravo Regina (2-1) led but couldn’t seal the deal last time; she’s been in the money five of six starts and could win, but at short odds, the more lightly raced Vino Y Queso looks to be the play… #2 Ninetypercentbrynn (6-1) ran on a bit on debut, passing tired ones to be fifth. She’ll be fitter now, and the quick stretch-out seems to suggest this might have been the objective all along… #6 Kind Humor (5-1) hasn’t run terribly but has been pretty well beaten in all three tries; will be looking for a pace to materialize… |
