GQ SAYS
A non-winner of two-lifetime races, 2021 has not been as good as his 2020 campaign when he hit the board in all four starts. Finished no better than fifth while being a non-factor in all three starts this year. Looking on the bright side, he was the only runner in the KY Derby to close the gap on the winner in the stretch. With his off-the-pace running style, the hope is that a number of rivals will set quick, early fractions making them vulnerable in deep stretch to a runner with a late kick. It appears his best efforts have come over the Churchiill Downs dirt oval. Longshot players will hope he takes a liking to Old Hilltop.
