DELAWARE: JAIME RODRIGUEZ WINS FIVE
Jockey Jaime Rodriguez notched five winners from his nine mounts at Delaware Park today.
Rodriguez won for three different trainers, with three of his victories coming for trainer Jamie Ness. Ness himself sent out four winners, the three ridden by Rodriguez and also allowance winner Beautiful Grace, with Raul Mena in the irons.

Rodriguez recorded his first victory of the day in the third race when he guided home Glowing Star for trainer Jamie Ness, in the fourth race he scored aboard Foggy Flight for trainer Jeffery Poole and in the fifth race he won aboard Shane’s Jewel also for trainer Jamie Ness. The native of Puerto Rico continued his winning ways in the seventh race by scoring aboard Vikram for trainer Jonathan Thomas. He notched his final win on the card in the ninth race on Muchacho Macho for trainer Jamie Ness.
Of his five wins, only Shane’s Jewel, off at 3-5 was favored. The others ranged from Glowing Star at 2-1 to Foggy Flight, who was 6.30-1 at post time.
Through the first two days of the 2021 meet, Rodriguez is on top of the Delaware Park jockey standings with a record of six wins from 17 mounts. Last year, Rodriguez finished fourth in the Delaware Park jockey standings with a record of 56 winners from 297 mounts. He notched his 1,000th career winner at Mahoning Valley Race Course in 2018
