On Saturday’s show, scheduled guests include Tom Albertrani and Horacio Karamanos. Albertrani, a trainer, has won 11 Grade 1 races in his career, three of them with the recently deceased Bernardini. Karamanos is the all-time leading rider at Colonial Downs and a winner of more than 2,300 races in North America.
Also slated to join the show are Jessica Paquette, Chuck Lopez, and Derby Bill Watson. Paquette is the on-air handicapper for Colonial Downs, while Lopez, a jockey, won twice there on his 61st birthday. Derby Bill, of course, is the former on-air handicapper for Colonial.
“We’re excited to kick off the new season of Off to the Races,” said Vespe, who is the owner and publisher of The Racing Biz, which oversees Off to the Races. “No one knows Mid-Atlantic racing better, and we look forward to another season with top guests, compelling interviews, and great handicapping — and plenty of laughs along the way.”
The Off to the Races season kicks off February 20 and will extend through the Colonial Downs racing season and into September.
