RACE NUMBER | CONTENDERS | COMMENTS |
Race 4 | 4-8-5-7 | Love the debut for #4 Uptown Shoes (8-1) who broke a touch slow, clipped heels and dropped out to the rear before stoking up a big rally into third. The Dee Curry trainee was a bit green in the lane and was tiring late but should be fitter and should benefit from that experience today… Trainer Jamie Ness has stellar records first off the claim and moving horses up, both of which are the case today with #8 Mr. Tuttle (7-2), who led a long way before settling for third last out against lesser… #5 Dinna Fash (8-1) rallied nicely into second, ahead of Uptown Shoes, in last as he benefited from hot pace up front and drop out of special weight company… #7 Dream of Warrior (3-1) makes his first start since May and first in the Jorge Diaz barn… |
Race 7 | 7-6-5-3 | It’s two pretty good tries in the bank for #7 Vino Y Queso (9-5), who’s been second and third thus far. She hasn’t raced since December but has been firing morning bullets in preparation… Four-year-old #6 Funny Enough (5-2) makes her debut here. She was a $250,000 yearling, a daughter of Will Take Charge who’s out of a graded stakes-placed Sharp Humor mare. She’s been training forwardly at Pimlico for high-percentage trainer Miguel Vera… #5 God Still Loves Me (12-1) stuck with it OK after being steadied at the start to rally into fourth on debut behind a pair of next-out winners. She’s gets Lasix on today for her second start… #3 Bellswillberinging (9-2) switches back to the dirt today for her fourth career start… |
