Parx Racing has canceled its January 24 card, the track and others announced on social media. It was to have hosted an 11-race card, topped by a $48,000 open allowance headlined by recent stakes winner Dreams Untold.

It is the Bensalem, PA track’s second cancellation of the year, according to Equibase.

Maryland Racing Commission OKs new TMJC as track operator
The Maryland Racing Commission on Dec. 23 signed off on the new nonprofit Maryland Jockey Club to operate Laurel Park in the new year.

The track has 11-race cards on tap for both Tuesday and Wednesday. Post time is 12:25 p.m., and Tuesday’s card will begin with a carryover of $109,510 in the jackpot pick-five.
