RACE NUMBER | CONTENDERS | COMMENTS |
Race 8 | 6-2-3-4 | #6 Ruby Blew (6-5): Classy veteran with earnings of close to $750,000 looking to make it two in a row. He has the speed and the class to take it wire to wire and is well spotted by trainer Penny Pearce. #2 Silver Edge (9-2): Rounding into form. He was a solid second against similar, which makes him a player today. #3 Clubman (3-1): In tight and five-wide last start. If he gets the trip, he will be a factor today for trainer Jamie Ness. #4 Brett’s World (8-1): Chased second pick to no avail in latest. If he can get the lead or lay close, should be able to pick up minor award. |
Race 10 | 5-4-1-3 | #5 Argentina Girl (8-1): Overcame a bad start to be third to a runaway winner in last, just behind the favorite here. An alert start at a square price makes her very appealing today. #4 Midnight Obession (6-5): Well-beaten second last out as the heavy favorite. This multiple graded stakes-placed runner looks like the horse to beat as long as you’re not too troubled by that last start. #1 Phancy Philly (9-2): Repeat of last makes this hard hitter a player with these #3 My Dixie Lass (5-2): Was second last start at Penn National in the slop. Has some ability but time will tell with these. |
