RACE NUMBER | CONTENDERS | COMMENTS |
Race 5 | 5-1-3-4 | #5 Bubba G (5-2): Faced same last time out in debut and was a good 3rd. Repeat of last makes him a winner here. He was a $70,000 purchase. #1 Last Minute Mario (5-1): Was a solid second first time out with cheaper. Improvement expected with alert start, and his speed can be a serious threat to top pick. #3 Clear Cut (4-1): Duel with favorite last out before settling for second. He is second time off the bench today with better. If he can stand the raise, he can earn a share. #4 Iconic Legacy (7-2): Ships in from Turfway Park where he was claimed for $30,000 last out going off as heavy favorite. Working well for his Parx debut, and if he gets the trip will earn a share. |
Race 10 | 2-1-4-7 | #2 Press My Bets (3-1): Has been running with better. Drops from allowance to $40,000 claiming. Well-spotted by trainer Scott Lake and should be able to handle this field with a strong ride from Edwin Rivera. #1 Super Comet (5-1): Claimed two starts back for $50,000, he also drops from allowance to claiming today. Repeat of last makes him a major threat to top pick for trainer Penny Pearce. #4 Vulcan (7-2): Ships in after allowance try on the Pimlico turf and switches back to the main track. Had strong form at Oaklawn. Has the speed to be a major player for trainer Jamie Ness. #7 Fast Breakin Cash (4-1): First time in the Jamie Ness barn and first try locally after getting claimed at Sam Houston last out.
