RACE NUMBER | CONTENDERS | COMMENTS |
Race 8 | 7-1-10-6 | #7 Hidden Cache (9-2): Her debut was excellent as she finshed second against same. Ships in from Fair Hill, and improvement is expected today. #1 Gunfyre Gal (6-1): A filly by Gun Runner out of stakes-winning dam. Trainer John Servis needs her to get an alert break from inside. Works say she is ready. #10 Heavenly Praise (5-1): Been away since September of 2021. This daughter of Arrogate was purchased for $330,000 and is trained by Mike Trombetta. Works also say she is ready, though she needs to work the trip out from the outside. # 6 Sparkling Water (7-2): Was hard used against top pick. Ships in from Belmont Park and faces state-breds for trainer Mike Maker. |
Race 10 | 4-10-11-7 | #4 Beacon Hill (5-2): Last two starts since his layoff were really good. Finished fourth in G2 Dinner Party last out at Pimlico. Improvement is expected and finds a much better spot today for trainer Michael Matz. #10 King Cause (4-1): Was outclassed in his last start in the G2 Fort Marcy. Won the KY Cup Classic on the synthetic two starts back gate to wire. Repeat of that would make him a serious player today. #11 Eons (9-2): Has a great deal of back class with earnings of more than $430,000 and multiple stakes wins. If he gets the trip, he is a threat to the top pick for trainer Arnaud Delacour. #7 Magic Michael (5-1): Another one with back class is trying the turf for the third time. Looking to make it four in a row here, a streak that includes the G3 Greenwood Cup three starts back for leading trainer Jamie Ness. |
