The word was out on first-time starter Surgical Precision, who ran to his 3-5 odds in winning his debut outing Sunday at Laurel Park.

Laurel Park has three turf stakes teed up on Sunday, June 19, the Find and All Brandy for Maryland-breds and the Stormy Blues sprinting.

We’ve got two horses to watch in these races that ought to be a decent price — they’re 10-1 and 8-1 on the morning line — and have had troubled recent trips that darken their form a bit. In pretty wide-open heats, they might offer some value.

Audacious Quality had a troubled trip two back when fifth but, given a clear shot last time out, rolled to victory. And Why Not Tonight encountered a career’s worth of trouble in a single race when fourth last time out.
