RACE NUMBER | CONTENDERS | COMMENTS |
Race 8 | 7-5-3-2 | #7 Exit Right (2-1): Has won six out of his last seven races and is well spotted by leading trainer Jamie Ness. He can take it gate to wire at a short price. #5 Scar (5-2): Won last start out coming off the bench and improvement is expected. Has back class. #3 Silver Edge (5-1): Going from a sprint to a route. He was a beaten favorite last out when he broke poorly from the gate. The added distance makes him very playable for a major share. #2 Secret Path (6-1): Faced cheaper last out, but he faced better two starts back and was an easy winner. Repeat of last makes him a player with these. |
Race 9 | 3-7-5-4 | #3 Flashndynamite (7-2): Claimed last start for $35,000 and returns to same level as claim. Repeat of last makes him the horse to beat. Jamie Ness wins at a 35% clip off the claim. #7 Precious (4-1): She faced similar her last start at Laurel on the turf and didn’t run well. Forgive last and back on her preferred surface, she’s a top threat for trainer John Servis. #5 Miss Mikaela (2-1): Ships in From Gulfstream Park. Won last with better and has the speed to take it gate to wire. Trainer Peter Walder is 17% off the bench. #4 Midnight Obsession (9-2): Another who beat cheaper last out. She has faced much better and is Grade 3-placed.She just needs a flashback to upset this field for trainer Servis. |
