RACE NUMBER | CONTENDERS | COMMENTS |
Race 8 | 6-8-3-2 | #6 The Count (3-1): Works say he is ready for top trainer Todd Pletcher, who is 19% with first start two-year-olds. Gets top jock, and an alert start makes him a winner. #8 Flor de Sombra (9-2): He also has been training well for debut and can be a major player with the trip for a winning barn. #3 Skyhook (5-1): Workout pattern says he is ready for top effort. Butch Reid is 37% with first start two-year-olds. This guy can upset top pick with a good trip. #2 Tiz Speedy (4-1): Works shows he is ready for top effort. Needs to overcome inside post in a race with a lot of first-time starters. |
Race 10 | 5-3-1-8 | #5 Maestria (3-1): She ran with similar at Delaware Park last start on turf, just missing. Repeat of last makes her the winner for top barn. #3 Systemic Risk (4-1): She won her last start with lesser and has the speed to beat top pick as long as she gets away from inside post. #1 Awesome Pal (9-2): Returns to home base after two tries, one win, at Penn National and tries the turf for the first time. If she can handle the turf, she’ll be a factor. #8 Snow Forecast (6-1): Claimed last start for $10,000, she likes the turf and, with her running style, can take advantage in a race full of speed to earn a share. |
