Race #1 Picks: 3-1-4-2

Race #2 Picks: 4-2-1-3

Race #3 Picks: 7-6-1-4

Race #4 Picks: 6-5-3-1

Race #5 Picks: 6-3-7-2

Race #6 Picks: 7-1A-4-6

In this third-level allowance/optional claiming race at 6 furlongs, #7 Gran Runner (10-1) is coming back from over a 60-day break. His workouts have not been fast, but they have been consistent, which indicates no health problems. We prefer this runner who won in his last start at Delaware over some others who ran a tough race thirteen days ago and may not be fully recovered.  #1A Yodel E. A. Who (7-5) stalked the pace and then ran past a couple other of these horses in last to win. This Ness trainee has the highest speed figures in today’s event, and if he is in top form will be tough to beat. #4 Threes Over Deuces (3-1) ran a strong race in last but got nipped by Yodel E. A. Who. This gelding has lots of back class and is a top contender. #6 Arch Cat (8-1) was running in graded stakes races a couple years ago. At 8 years old, he’s lost a step but is still capable of a good performance.

Race #7 Picks:  3-10-8-7

In this optional claiming/starter allowance race for fillies and mares at 1 1/16 miles on the turf, #3 Golden Effect (10-1) will probably inherit the early lead because of the lack of speed in this event. That is usually not good a good thing in turf routes, but the Delaware turf often plays to speed and we think this filly might steal it. #10 Soleada (6-1) is starting to develop as a consistent runner. Ran 4th in a key race two back and just missed at this level in last. We think she will put in another good performance and is a top contender. #8 Maxine Machine (9-2) was claimed in last by Douglass Nunn, who wins at 20% off a claim in 60 starts. Now stepping up but has some back class and could make an impact here. #7 Vodkatini (8-1) was also claimed in last. Trainer Michael Gorham wins at 29% off the claim in 31 attempts. If she can repeat her last, she will be in the mix.

Race #8 Picks: 3-2-6-5
