Race #1 Picks: 7-3-5-10
Race #2 Picks: 3-1-2-6
Race #3 Picks: 4-9-1-12
Race #4 Picks: 12-4-13-1
This $16,000 claiming race for N2L at 1 1/16 miles on the turf is devoid of early speed so we are going to turn to a horse that might get the lead. #12 Grunder’s Call (9-2) showed early speed in his last effort in a race that was taken off the turf. This will be his first race in a turf route and he may be the one the others are chasing late. We have him on top. #4 Marquet Malice (8-1) is a deep closer that just missed at this level in last. This three-year-old is improving, and with a little faster start today he could take the top spot. #13 Board Certified (7-2) is an also eligible, and if he draws in he should be considered. He is making his first start at Delaware Park and seems to be rounding into form with good races at Monmouth and Parx. #1 Simms (8-1) is another closer who has some decent starts at Delaware Park
Race #5 Picks: 3-1-2-6
Race #6 Picks: 2-6-1-3
This $28,000 optional claiming race for N2X at one mile is loaded with early speed so we are going to look for a horse that can lay off the pace and close. #2 Windcracker (5-1) showed early speed in last but faltered on the turn. Prior to that outing he had several good races at Delaware. We think the pace sets up well for him today, and we have him on top. #6 Senate Chamber (5-2) has won three of four this year. He has ascending speed figures, and any improvement over last will give him a chance to win. #1 The King Cheek (5-1) is a speedster, and most likely Jamie Rodriguez will try to take him gate to wire. He will have some competition for the early lead today, but if he can get free he will be dangerous. #3 McLaren Vale (3-2) raced in a stakeat Churchill last time and moves into the Brittany Russell barn for this start. If he can match the race he had in Indiana two back, he will be a contender.
Race #7 Picks: 3-6-10-2
Race #8 Picks: 8-6-2-9
