ANALYSIS
Last time she visited Charles Town, #4 Miss Chamita (5-1) won an allowance nicely. She returns today for the next allowance condition, and the way the race shapes up, with some early speed sorts, should benefit her late-running style. In her prior CT visit, she made a strong rally before encountering traffic and then clipping heels.. Morning line favorite #5 My Flicker (5-2) makes her first visit to CT for leading trainer Farrior; he and Montano are 5-for-12 together. This miss ought to be in the early vanguard… WV-bred #1 Nice n’ Broad (9-2) just missed versus similar in last on a muddy track; she’s 0-for-9 on off tracks, so another good effort could be in the offing today… #2 Determined Truth (3-1) dusted never-two rivals in last and takes the next logical step today….
Race 6
6-7-1-4
Morning line fave #6 Hot Fudge Sonde (5-2) surged to the lead versus similar in last before gacking it up late. In his third off a four-month break, he could be sitting on a return to his best form, which would get the money here… #7 Remys Showtime (7-2) might be controlling speed here, but the lackadaisical record — just three wins from 27 outings and none in 10 2022 starts — makes him hard to endorse on top… Pretty indifferent outing last time for #1 Happy Years (6-1), but we’re inclined to forgive it and look for a better effort today… The speedy #4 Roll Dem Bones (10-1) figures to be up close early…
LATEST NEWS
How about #3 Faneuil Hall in opener at 15-1? This horse was working for Bob Baffert in the spring with Blue Devil. Both of these horses got transferred east to Bisset barn and Blue Devil just missed in early April with a 79 beyer at TP. In the minus section Mendez chooses Runco horse and a lot can go wrong in 6 months with thoroughbreds. But he still might have enough in him to get 4.5 furlongs in 53 seconds? Maybe….
1st.You sure do your research, but a bit of a reach.
C J Navarro has been on fire at Give Em the Finger Lakes
so I takes my chances on him.
1st.”Faneuil Hall” was a good call,
second best at 15-1.
How about #3 Faneuil Hall in the opener at Charles Town? At around 12-1 I’m willing to find out if this well bred guy can fire, Up till March he was working for Bob Baffert and working heads up with Blue Devil. Blue Devil and Faneuil Hall transferred to R. Brisset’s barn. Devil debut at TP in April losing by a neck with a 79 beyer. Obviously a lot can go wrong in 6 months with thoroughbreds and top jock mendez has jumped to ride Runco’s horse. Here’s hoping this guy still has enough class and speed to get the 4.5 furlongs in 53 seconds.
4th.I’ll sticker with”My Flicker”as
the”Determined Truth”.but won’t
Miss Chamita” to Norm Cash the Tri.
You maybe right. Sparling has incredible $14.75 ROI 2nd after the claim and is 67%ITM. Those are remarkable stats for a 4% trainer. I’m just going to watch the race because odds on fav., Buddy Buddy confuses me. He had perfect trip last out, flattens out, then gallops out powerfully. When you don’t know what to do with odds on favorite, its time to pass on race.
That’s the beauty of Horse Racing today,
we can pass a dozen races and slam the one we really like.
6th.”Happy Years”tears these apart
if he can avoid “Noid”who can really go when Ho is up.
6th.I shed no tears for “Happy Years”
this Barbosa is no bug boy, fine ride on “Noid”.
It’s finally attracting others and you shut down?
