ANALYSIS
We’re thinking #7 Mr Chance Romance (4-1) might sit a perfect trip and go on to win this never-three allowance. The Ronney Brown trainee did just that last time, and here today, he breaks from the outside and should be able to tuck in behind a couple of speedy types before making his move. Jockey Denis Araujo lands here after having ridden another in this race in a prior start, as well… #4 Icing (6-5) deserves his favoritism after a couple of solid efforts. He figures to lead or press the pace of #3 Buddy Buddy (6-1) in the early going, and if he is able to relax, he might just kick on to win… The late running #3 Personable (7-2) certainly would benefit from a pace duel and pretty much never runs a bad race; he’s been worse than third just once in eight outings… As for Buddy Buddy, it certainly appears they’ll have no choice but to send, and he might be able to outquick the favorite early on. Will he be able to stay?
Race 6
8-3-6-4
#8 Jumpin Jack Brass (5-2) was best in her debut and probably graduates tonight. The Jeff Runco trainee had some trouble early in that race and found her well behind the pace — quite a bit more than the six-and-change lengths she was at the first call — but made a sustained run into third and galloped out well ahead of the top pair. The added ground should be fine, and even just a repeat of the last could be enough… That was a pretty good effort last out from #3 S S Frontier Angel (20-1), who dueled for the lead for quite a while and won the speed duel but couldn’t hold off the closers. She’ll need another step forward to contend with these, but with only two starts to date, that’s a possibility… #6 Sparkleinyoureye (7-2) has been second or third three straigth versus similar, and there’s no reason she can’t get a piece again… Added ground and a fast track might aid the late-running #4 Love of Grace (12-1), whose debut wasn’t bad…
