Off to the Races Radio powered by The Racing Biz returned March 11 with an hourlong program focusing on Thoroughbred racing and breeding in Virginia, around the Mid-Atlantic, and across the country.

Featured on today’s show:

Owner-breeder Peter Vegso. Vegso, publisher of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series of books, owned three Virginia Derby winners. He will send out Lord Miles in Saturday’s Grade 3 Tampa Bay Derby on the Kentucky Derby trail.
Owner Kenneth Taylor. Taylor owned the Hall of Famer Xtra Heat, whose death was announced this week, and he joined us to reminisce about his star.

Also: Debbie Easter joined us to discuss Virginia racing, and Derby Bill Watson was on hand to handicap the day’s biggest races.
