Off to the Races Radio powered by The Racing Biz returned March 11 with an hourlong program focusing on Thoroughbred racing and breeding in Virginia, around the Mid-Atlantic, and across the country.

• Owner-breeder Peter Vegso. Vegso, publisher of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series of books, owned three Virginia Derby winners. He will send out Lord Miles in Saturday’s Grade 3 Tampa Bay Derby on the Kentucky Derby trail.
• Owner Kenneth Taylor. Taylor owned the Hall of Famer Xtra Heat, whose death was announced this week, and he joined us to reminisce about his star.
