In the Saturday night opener on the final live card of April here, #3 Odina (4-1) finished a solid second last out after exiting maiden special weight company and looks poised to finally graduate in this spot for trainer Ollie Figgins III. #2 Isle Be There (9-2) has been second and third in two tries at the level for trainer Jeff Runco and merits serious consideration for upset chance. #8 Amelia’s Dream (7-5) finally exits maiden special weight company for Runco and looms the solid post time choice off the drop. #1 Sunset Queen (12-1) get favorable inside draw and could complete several gimmicks at a very generous price.

RACE 2

8-7-9-10

In this one-turn dash for $15,000 claiming fillies and mares, #8 Running Free (7-2) gets the most favorable draw of the serious contenders and also gets the nod to complete early daily double. #7 Shutupn’kissme (4-1) has ample back class and looms a genuine threat to the choice for owner-trainer Cynthia McKee. #9 Juba’s House (8-1) won two back and was solid second last out for trainer M. Joanna Boggs and merits respect here. #10 Sister Joann (15-1) gets very favorable outside draw and could complete several gimmicks at a very big price.

RACE 3

4-6-10-9

In this interesting two-turn allowance for older sorts, #4 Rustys Gfivefifty (4-1) arrives off a pair of good efforts at Laurel Park and gets nod for mild upset here. #6 Kozy’s Wildcat (7-2) has won all three of his starts this year for trainer Norman “Lynn” Cash and looms a genuine contender in this spot. #10 Rad Paisley (4-1) also arrives off good efforts at Laurel Park for trainer Anthony Farrior and merits respect here. #9 Freedom Rider (6-1) has been second twice and third twice in four local outings against similar and could forge mild surprise here.

RACE 4

7-6-1-9

In this one-turn maiden special weight dash for three-year-old fillies, #7 Rainbow Rhythm (7-2) finished fourth in career debut last summer at Monmouth Park and looks to graduate in seasonal and local debut here for trainer Jeff Runco. #6 Icy Stare (5-2) also makes local debut for trainer Kevin Joy and looms the likely tepid post time choice in this spot. #1 Devin On Earth (3-1) was solid second in local debut here last fall for trainer Anthony Farrior and looms a danger if fresh and fit for return. #9 Irish Valentine (10-1) was solid second two back and could make amends for latest outing for trainer Crystal Pickett with favorable outside draw.

RACE 5

6-7-8-2

In this interesting and competitive, two-turn allowance for state-bred fillies and mares, #6 Keep On Spurrin (3-1) has been third three times in four starts this year for trainer and former jockey Kristy Petty and gets the nod for very mild upset here. #7 Lucky Blonde (5-2) was solid second last out against similar for trainer Tim Grams and certainly merits respect here as the likely choice. #8 Laughintothebank (7-2) was modest fourth last out against winners after graduating two back for trainer Jeff Runco and cannot be overlooked in this spot. #2 Frenchies Gold (4-1) won seasonal debut but looks to atone for a pair of modest allowance tries here for Runco.

RACE 6

8-12-9-10

In this interesting and competitive one-turn maiden special weight dash for state-bred older runners, #8 B.J. Moose (7-2) has been second in each of his first two starts this year for trainer Sara Kopecki and gets the nod to garner diploma in this spot. #12 Pink Dinghy (7-5) was second in his career debut last fall for trainer Javier Contreras and certainly merits respect here if he draws in off the AE list. #9 Harley Sioux (8-1) has been third and fourth in last two tries and gets decent draw with upset chance here. #10 Last Party (15-1) also gets favorable draw and could complete several gimmicks at a generous price.

RACE 7 – The $75,000 It’s Binn Too Long Stakes

2-6-5-1

In this competitive, albeit compact edition of the $75,000 It’s Binn Too Long Stakes for West Virginia-bred three-year-old fillies, #2 Great Spirit (7-5) has won all three starts in her career thus far for trainer Crystal Pickett and talented half-sister to the late, great Dr. Feelgood seeks her first stakes tally in this spot. #6 Stryda (7-2) defeated allowance foes last out after finishing second to the top choice two starts back and certainly merits respect here. #5 Bella Mela (5-1) beat older males in her last outing for trainer Javier Contreras and deserves a look in this spot. #1 Lightnin Runner (9-2) won the first two starts of her career last summer, including the $75,000 Rachel’s Turn Stakes, and could be a danger in seasonal debut.

RACE 8

3-7-10-12

In the Saturday night finale and the last live race here in April, #3 Floating By (3-1) has been fourth in each of first two seasonal outings for trainer Jack Hurley but gets the nod for mild upset in nightcap. #7 Stylish Paint (5-2) was solid second last out and has been consistent sort throughout her career for trainer Ronney Brown and looms the tepid choice here. #10 Miss Wild (4-1) has been third in each of her first two tries this year for trainer and former jockey Keturah Obed-Letts and figures to continue that trend here. #12 Emma And I (2-1) will get ample support if she draws in and could give trainer Crsytal Pickett late daily double.
