The Kentucky Derby winner and Preakness favorite, the Black-Eyed Susan favorite, and the fastest Preakness winner of all were on hand Monday at Pimlico Race Course.

Mage shipped up to Baltimore without incident, co-owner/assistant trainer Gustavo Delgado, Jr. told us (see above video) and hopes to fare better than the Delgados most recent Preakness starter, Bodexpress, who lost his rider at the start.

The Bob Baffert-trained Faiza is the 7-5 morning line favorite for Friday’s Grade 2 Black-Eyed Susan, but she hasn’t exactly scared many off; 12 sophomore fillies are scheduled to face the starter.

Also on hand Tuesday were Blazing Sevens, the Chad Brown trainee who bypassed the Derby to await the Preakness, and Secretariat. Wait – what? OK, not the actual Secretariat, but a very large statue thereof in celebration of the 50th anniversary of his historic romp to the Triple Crown.
