- Sea Dancer gets valuable stakes win in CarouselSea Dancer, a younger half-sis to one of the top turf horses in the country, earned her first stakes win in Saturday’s Carousel at Laurel Park.

In this competitive two-turn allowance for state-bred older runners, #4 Penguin Parade (5-2) looks to end modest drought dating back to last July for trainer Jeff Runco. #6 Buddy Buddy (3-1) won last out and seeks second straight for owner-trainer Tim Collins. #1 Strong Lil Kokoro (8-1) gets favorable inside draw with upset chance and gives Collins outside shot to run one-two here. #7 Spanglish (9-5) was solid second last out for trainer Elizabeth Meehan and looms tepid choice despite outside draw.
RACE 5

In this wide open, two-turn event for $5,000 claiming fillies and mares, #2 China Cat (6-1) has been consistent sort throughout her career and gets nod for mild upset here for trainer Mike Jones, Jr. #4 Clearly Visible (3-1) was solid third last out after winning two back and cannot be overlooked here for trainer Kevin Joy. #5 Dat Dares Gold (5-2) exits some tough allowance events for trainer Ernest Haynes of Lake Ponchatrain fame and looms the tepid choice here. #1 Practically There (15-1) prevailed three back and gets favorable inside draw with chance to complete several gimmicks at a nice price.
