RACE 1

4-5-6-1

In the Saturday night opener on the Memorial Day weekend, a two-turn maiden $5,000 claiming event for fillies and mares, #4 Looking for Flare (3-1) returns following a decent outing at Laurel Park and looks poised to graduate here. #5 Wicked Saucy (6-5) has delivered two good efforts since exiting maiden special weight company and looms the solid post time choice in this spot. #6 Chantilly Moon (5-2) has been fourth four times in five career outings but figures to improve on that here. #1 My Best Girl (20-1) gets favorable rail draw and could complete several gimmicks at a very generous price.

RACE 2

1-5-3-7

In this competitive, two-turn starter optional $10,000 claiming event for older horses to cap the early daily double, #1 Bright Dawn (9-2) looks to end mild skid after opening season with a score for trainer Anthony Farrior. #5 Thewitchisgone (7-2) has won last two outings including an allowance event and sports four wins in eight career tries for trainer John Carlisle. #3 Auburn Mill (2-1) has been second twice and third twice in six winless starts this year and gives Farrior chance to run one-two here. #7 Never Comprosmise (3-1) has won three times in five tries already this year for trainer Ollie Figgins III of Dance to Bristol fame and merits respect here off the brief respite.

RACE 3

1-4-2-7

In this two-turn event for maiden $12,500 claimers, #1 Hay Diddle Diddle (8-5) gets favorable inside draw for trainer Kevin Joy and looms poised to graduate as the solid favorite here. #4 Colonel Cappy (5-2) was a solid second in local debut last out after two previous outings at Gulfstream Park and cannot be dismissed in this spot. #2 Mr. Majestic (10-1) was good third at this level after exiting maiden special weight foes for trainer Chris Keller. #7 Faneuil Hall (3-1) returns from Churchill Downs to winnable spot for trainer Kristy Gazzier.

RACE 4

4-6-1-7

In this competitive two-turn allowance for state-bred older runners, #4 Penguin Parade (5-2) looks to end modest drought dating back to last July for trainer Jeff Runco. #6 Buddy Buddy (3-1) won last out and seeks second straight for owner-trainer Tim Collins. #1 Strong Lil Kokoro (8-1) gets favorable inside draw with upset chance and gives Collins outside shot to run one-two here. #7 Spanglish (9-5) was solid second last out for trainer Elizabeth Meehan and looms tepid choice despite outside draw.

RACE 5

2-4-5-1

In this wide open, two-turn event for $5,000 claiming fillies and mares, #2 China Cat (6-1) has been consistent sort throughout her career and gets nod for mild upset here for trainer Mike Jones, Jr. #4 Clearly Visible (3-1) was solid third last out after winning two back and cannot be overlooked here for trainer Kevin Joy. #5 Dat Dares Gold (5-2) exits some tough allowance events for trainer Ernest Haynes of Lake Ponchatrain fame and looms the tepid choice here. #1 Practically There (15-1) prevailed three back and gets favorable inside draw with chance to complete several gimmicks at a nice price.

RACE 6

4-2-1-5

In this interesting, two-turn starter allowance for fillies and mares, #4 Divine Fashion (8-5) seeks third straight and fifth win in nine tries this year for trainer Anthony Farrior and could be odds-on by post time. #2 Acadian Girl (2-1) was good second last out after winning two back at Laurel Park for trainer Emanuel “Mike” Geralis of Lucylou Who fame. #1 My Juba (9-2) gets favorable inside draw and seeks to regain winning ways after Laurel Park score three back. #5 Tequila Fog (7-2) gives Farrior modest shot at running one-two here.

RACE 7

8-10-6-1

In this interesting and competitive, one-turn allowance dash for fillies and mares, #8 Snowy Juba Cat (7-2) makes seasonal debut for trainer Curtis Bass and sports solid 5-3-2 slate in 11 previous outings. #10 Fast Mule (6-1) also makes seasonal debut in this spot for trainer Anthony Farrior after ending prior campaign with open maiden special weight score at Mountaineer Park. #6 Fancy Her Up (5-2) yet another set to make seasonal debut for trainer Kristy Petty and seeking to regain juvenile form. #1 Emberly (8-1) has ample early speed and will need to break sharply and alertly from inside slot to be a factor.

RACE 8

1-5-10-3

In the Saturday night finale, a two-turn event for $5,000 claiming fillies and mares, #1 Jaccaci (7-2) graduated three back against maiden special weight foes and gets favorable inside draw here for trainer Ronney Brown with chance to atone for last two. #5 Curlin’s Dove (5-2) has been close on several occasions since earning diploma against maiden claiming foes and could forge mile upset in this spot for trainer Joan Reynolds. #10 Irish Samurai (2-1) has been second in last two and four times in eight winless starts overall this year for trainer Crystal Pickett and certainly merits respect here as likely choice. #3 Spunky Zoey (4-1) has offered decent efforts in two starts since arriving from Penn National and cannot be dismissed.
