ANALYSIS
The morning line and likely post time favorite in this contest is #6 Duncan Idaho (3-5), who graduated last out at second asking and has been 3-10 in both career starts. That stems in part from his breeding: he is a full brother to multiple graded stakes winner Late Night Pow Wow and two-time defending WV-bred champion Muad’dib. That said, he lost his first outing and was all out to prevail in his second. The added ground should aid his cause, and he may well win this contest, but the odds you’re likely to get do not entice… We mentioned he lost his debut; that defeat came against #2 Juba’s Hat Trick (4-1) in what was both runners’ debut. This one, whose expected odds make him our top selection, followed up that first out score with a curiously indifferent, disengaged effort. We’ll draw a line through it and note that he gets a new rider and blinkers on today… #7 I’lltakecareofit (9-2) won at first asking, was terrible in his next start, and then ran a good one last out. We’re hoping he can double that up this evening…
Race 6
1-6-2-8
Just an OK effort last out in his first local try for #1 Cairo Breeze (2-1), who had tilted against much better at Oaklawn. We’ll chalk that up to his first time racing at night at a bullring and give him a chance to make amends here… Curious to see what the first-timer #6 Nickandme (12-1) has to offer. Two of his three siblings ran second on debut and all three graduated pretty quickly. SIre Secret Circle has pretty gaudy win percentages… Morning line favorite #2 Napa Valley (3-5), like a lot of Lynn Cash trainees, has made the rounds: Churchill, Laurel, the Fairgrounds, Oaklawn, and now CT. He’s obviously a major player in this spot…

3rd.I hafta stick with”Juba’s Hat Trick”as my top pick
and think”Hillbilly Rock”could roll up for 2nd.
6th.I don’t know how,but”Voice Of Now”might
rally to beat”Napa Valley”,Cash in big with him.
6th.”Napa Valley”looked sure to tally,
my sleeper here,slept.
Im in on Nicknadme in the 6th. He outworked stablemate Low Country Dude(5/31) who ran 58 beyer on 5/15 at Mnr. in optional claim. race on 5/31. These 2 4 year old’s have been working on same days for last 6 months, so hopefully he can run. Hiraldo was named to ride him along with the favorite.(Napa Valley) Optimistic point of view says Butterfly will help the price. Probably finishes 3rd.
I stay away from first time starters but
you didn’t get a chance tonight,at $5.90 to 1
it looks like I might bet him the next time.
3rd.”Juba’s Hat did the Trick”,
but my price play”Hillbilly ran like he was tied to a Rock”.
