We’ll turn aside the favorites in here for first-time starter #9 Afire (10-1). Trainer Javier Contreras does well enough with firsters (16%), and this one has a couple of decent works. Go-to rider Ho is named… #2 Jubaslilballerina (8-5) has the best speed figs, as you’d expect for the favorite, but how low do you want to go? She’s been the beaten favorite in four straight, three at odds-on… Second off a three-month break for #1 Jumpin Jack Brass (5-2), who owns the right to improve for Runco and Boca… Draw a line through the last for #8 Rumorgoingaround (30-1), who lost all chance at the break…

If that $40,000 claim is going to be worth it on #6 Frog Town (7-2), a good place to start would be winning here. Trainer Farrior has a strong record first off the claim… No horse here is in better form than #5 Baagy (3-1), who’s been one-two in four straight, including three wins. He’ll probably want to be a bit closer to the early pace than his last couple local tries… Improved effort despite an adventurous trip in last for #8 Shameless Risk (6-1). His better efforts contend here… Pretty good chance the speed in here will be #4 Odie (8-5), who loves CT and this distance…
