In this interesting and competitive one-turn allowance for state-bred fillies and mares to cap the early daily double, #7 La Maddalena (6-5) has been solid second in each of last two attempts at the level and should benefit from favorable outside draw here for trainer Crystal Pickett. #6 Our Great Notion (6-1) was good third in first try against winners two starts back for trainer Tim Grams and will seek to atone for modest effort last out. #5 Sparkleinyoureye (6-1) was good second in first attempt against winners three back but will have to improve on last two tries for trainer Mike Jones, Jr. #2 Crafty Windsor Cat (5-2) was good third last out and will look to provide the early speed here for trainer Curtis Bass.

In this one-turn dash for $5,000 claimers, #7 Believeinrocknroll (4-1) returns to an oval where he had finished first and second in consecutive outings and gets the nod for mild upset here. #1 Montauk Daddy (7-5) makes local debut after facing tougher at major league ovals in New York and looks to overcome tricky inside draw as possible odds-on proposition. #4 Tweet This (6-1) won seasonal debut back in January and seeks to regain winning ways for trainer Kevin Joy. #2 Moss Boss (5-1) won last out and gives Joy outside chance to run one-two in this spot.

In this interesting one-turn allowance for state-breds, #8 Kaylee’s Spitfire (6-1) was solid third last out against similar and gets favorable outside draw with genuine upset chance. #1 Duncan Idaho (7-5) won two starts back and full-brother to two-time West Virginia-bred Maud’dib seeks to regain winning ways in this spot for trainer Jeff Runco. #3 George (5-2) won smartly at second asking for trainer David Walters and merits respect here. #2 Xcellent Start (8-1) arrives off a pair of modest effort this year and gives Runco modest chance to run one-two in this spot.
