- Grade 3 winner Warrant to stand at Murmur FarmWarrant, a Grade 3 winner by Consitution, will stand at Maryland’s Murmur Farm in 2025 after having stood in Pennsylvania in 2024.
Race 4 – Curlin Stakes
1. #3 Blazing Sevens (4-5) – Chad Brown has had plenty of success in the Curlin, winning last year’s version, and has the clear leg up on a small field with this Preakness runner-up
2. #4 Scotland (2-1) – The clear next best to Blazing Sevens, it is still tough to make a case for him over the favorite with a perfect pace set up last time, but is a nose from being undefeated
3. #1 Perform (8-1) – The third colt in this field by Good Magic, his Preakness didn’t engender much confidence that he can compete with top runners at this level, but still has upside
4. #2 Lost Ark (4-1) – Comes off a win which is a plus, and should be positioned within striking distance early by Irad Ortiz as this colt needs to be within a few lengths early to have a chance
Race 8 – OC 62500n2x
1. #2 Speed Bias (3-1) – This colt by Uncle Mo has been training well and drops out of a grade I try, plus as his name suggests he possesses the most speed in this field
2. #7 Artorius (5-2) – Since winning the Curlin Stakes here last year, this colt by Arrogate hasn’t rediscovered that form, but a solid fourth in a grade III last time out could mean he is due here
3. #6 Bright Future (9-2) – If you remove the grade II defeat in the twelve furlong Brooklyn, this colt by Curlin has races that compare favorably with the rest of this field
4. #1 Curbstone (6-1) – This four year old gelding by Street Sense has been running his best recently, flashing some legitimate speed last time out that could be a weapon here
Race 9 – Grade III Lake George Stakes
1. #5 Revalita (5-1) – Narrowly beaten in three straight graded tries and should be decent value among the five Brown trainees, has a good chance here with a well timed move from Gaffalione
2. #4 Liguria (3-1) – Trending in the right direction for Chad Brown and has two wins in three tries at eight furlongs plus has won a grade III and a stakes last time out
3. #1 Queen Picasso (6-1) – Winner of a grade III last time out, and should be in good position off of likely leader Utilization Rate in what could be a slower pace here
4. #3 Tax Implications (5-1) – Of the three Klaravich and Brown entries, this one doesn’t have the running style of Utilization Rate or upside of Surge Capacity but is improving at the right time
Race 10 – Mdn 88k
1. #9 All Good Here (9-2) – Took a clear step forward last time out showing something to build off of for Clement, and will hopefully be a better price than the morning line here
2. #11 Stow On the Wold (5-1) – Only lost by half a length last time from a similar post, and this time may be best staying mid pack rather than vying for the early lead at this distance
3. #1 Bourbon Chase (7-2) – Has been bet to favorite in five of seven tries and has hit the board in six, showing some winning problems but could improve with the surface change
4. #8 Tony O (6-1) – Not a likely winner, but gets a slight nod over Mission Hill because of his consistency and experience and could be in the mix late to finish third or fourth
