Off to the Races Radio: March 2 lineup
Off to the Races Radio, powered by The Racing Biz continues its 26th season of talking Thoroughbred racing Saturday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. The show will air for one hour each week on ESPN Richmond.
The program focuses on Thoroughbred racing and breeding in Virginia, around the Mid-Atlantic, and across the country and will air each Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Eastern on ESPN Richmond (106.1 FM) and via livestreaming. Starting in late March, the show will air simultaneously on ESPN Harrisonburg (106.9 FM and 1360 AM). And during the summer race meet at Colonial Downs, the program will expand to two hours.
The show will run through November 2. Each show will feature a mixture of interview segments, handicapping of the afternoon’s races, and news.
On March 2 hosts Nick Hahn and Frank Vespe will welcome in trainer Danny Gargan, Virginia Equine Alliance executive Jill Byrne, and handicapper Kaitlin Free. Gargan will send out Dornoch, the 2-1 morning line favorite in Saturday’s Grade 2 Fountain of Youth at Gulfstream Park. Byrne will discuss the economic impact of Thoroughbred racing and breeding in Virginia. And Free will join to handicap some of the four big Kentucky Derby prep races. Also joining the show will be regular guest Darrell Wood.
Off to the Races Radio is presented by the Virginia Equine Alliance. In addition to the real-time ways to listen to Off to the Races, each episode will also be archived on The Racing Biz (www.theracingbiz.com).
