Off to the Races Radio: March 9 lineup
Off to the Races Radio, powered by The Racing Biz continues its 26th season of talking Thoroughbred racing Saturday, March 9 at 10:00 a.m. The show will air for one hour each week on ESPN Richmond.
The program focuses on Thoroughbred racing and breeding in Virginia, around the Mid-Atlantic, and across the country and will air each Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Eastern on ESPN Richmond (106.1 FM) and via livestreaming. Starting in late March, the show will air simultaneously on ESPN Harrisonburg (106.9 FM and 1360 AM). And during the summer race meet at Colonial Downs, the program will expand to two hours.
The show will run through November 2. Each show will feature a mixture of interview segments, handicapping of the afternoon’s races, and news.
On March 9 hosts Nick Hahn and Frank Vespe will welcome in jockey Antonio Gallardo, trainer Troy Singh, handicapper Barry Spears, and more. Gallardo was the leading rider at last summer’s Colonial Downs meet and is second in the standings at the current Tampa Bay Downs meet. Singh recently posted his first training victory, and Spears is a frequent guest of the show and well known handicapper who will ‘cap the races from Tampa Bay. Also joining the show will be regular guest Darrell Wood, and we will also handicap the day’s Laurel Park feature.
Off to the Races Radio is presented by the Virginia Equine Alliance. In addition to the real-time ways to listen to Off to the Races, each episode will also be archived on The Racing Biz (www.theracingbiz.com).
