- DATE: June 20, 2024
- RACES ON CARD: 8
- CARRYOVERS: None
- POST TIME: 12:30 p.m.
RACE 1
1. Phlying Phyllis | Seems to have been outworking stablemate #4 and gets Torrealba for only mount of the day |
7. Beautiful Blome | Full sister to a first-out winner, and Blofeld well above average with 2yo firsters |
3. Uptown Miss | Look for this one to be better on turf down the road |
RACE 2
3. Court Contender | Middle move to the lead before tiring in last versus similar; reunited with rider Cruz, who owns two wins with this one |
1. Omar Comin | Returns to main track; runner-up from two back win moved up a level to win next |
2. Traffic Master | Likely to be strong favorite off near-miss versus better as fave in last |
RACE 3 – ON THE TURF
9. Go Take Charge | Second or third last three on turf |
6. Darvesh | Dam and best sibling were allowance types on turf; sire Bolt d’Oro does well with two-turn turfers |
7. Rum Tum Tugger | Was part of sluggish pace in last but couldn’t seal the deal |
4. Return Fire | Was up close to fast early pace in only prior turf try and stayed on willingly |

RACE 4
5. Sunset Town | Should be able to establish the front and will be tough to reel in; nice win in N3L company in last and lands in good spot here |
7. Kenny Had a Notion | Veteran isn’t that far removed from races that would win here |
2. Strugar | May be cycling back to better form and gets leading rider up |
RACE 5 – ON THE TURF
3. Elfuegomasbrilante | In this wide-open heat full of longtime maidens, demand value; runner ran well enough in two local tries last year and finds lowest level yet |
7. Tio Tony | Only beaten a couple versus better in most recent turf try last November |
4. Alabama Shake | Showed speed in debut on dirt; dam was stakes-placed on the green stuff |
13. Raji | Will be tough if drawing in but needs several scratches |
Racing Notes
- Jockey Carol Cedeno had a hat trick, winning with Tak E Lady (3-1), Killy Start (12-1), and Auto Glide (7-2)…
- With nearly $100,000 in the pool, the early pick 5 returned over $4,100 on a 50-cent ticket, while the late pick 5, with a carryover of $11,000 entering the day, returned $1,858…
RACE 6
2. Melt With You | Gelded and gets blinkers off; debut runner-up outing here came behind runner who’s now 3-for-3 |
6. My Sanctuary | Don’t love that last outing when given the right pace setup and couldn’t seal it, but prior dirt form contends |
3. Arrow Speed | Return to main track and drop from special weight company both pluses |
RACE 7 – ON THE TURF
7. Megacity | Formful sort has won three straight, two at this level; should control the pace and have enough to hold off late runners |
9. Wicked Finn | Has been keeping tough company |
4. Who’s Counting | Has been running over jumps, so fitness no concern |
RACE 8
2. Dancing Beauty | Bit of a freshening after disappointing try at odds-on in last and switches into Simoff barn; her best would be tough to beat in here |
7. Dark Dutchess | Good try in last versus similar and runner-up moved up a notch to win at PEN |
3. Montana Rose | Two-back effort plenty good enough for these, but last out try, when stopping after setting sluggish fractions, is worrisome |
