Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races announced a series of organizational changes on Monday, according to Director of Racing Operations Charlie McIntosh.

Duane Sowers has been promoted to Assistant Director of Racing Operations. Sowers had most recently served as Racing Manager and Clerk of Scales at the track. Sowers’ time in the Charles Town racing office began over four decades ago, and his roots run deep in the Charles Town racing community as the son of former Charles Town Racing Secretary, the late Lonnie Sowers.

Anna Hibbard has been promoted to Racing Secretary after previously serving as Assistant Racing Secretary. Hibbard, an alumna of the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program, has been a mainstay in the Charles Town racing office for more than eight years.

Brenna Ward has also been in the track’s racing office for the past eight years and has been promoted to Assistant Racing Secretary.

Track announcer Paul Espinosa has added the role of Racing Media Administrator to his announcing duties.

“These four individuals have been integral parts of the Charles Town racing team for years,” said McIntosh. “These promotions are a testament to their hard work and dedication to making the Charles Town product the best it can be, and we look forward to continuing to build upon the growth we’ve seen over the past two decades.”
