Due to the severe weather and excessive rainfall in the New Kent area, racing today at Colonial Downs, Friday, July 12, has been cancelled. A plan for these races being rescheduled will be posted as soon as it is available. All ticket purchases will be refunded for today. Rosie’s Gaming Emporium in New Kent will remain open with regular operating hours. Colonial Downs expects a full card of live racing for tomorrow, Saturday, July 13.

New Kent and other counties in the area are under a flood watch, per the National Weather Service, until midnight tonight. Rain is expected to get heavy again after 5:00 this evening; first post today had been 4:30.

It is expected to rain most of Saturday, as well.
