Replay: Saturday’s Off to the Races Radio
Off to the Races Radio, powered by The Racing Biz returned July 27 at 10:00 a.m. The radio show, which is presented by the Virginia Equine Alliance, returns for its 26th season.
The program combines tips and advice on betting horse racing, news from the sport, and interviews and conversations with major racing newsmakers. For the duration of the Colonial Downs meet, the show will be two hours each week.
On July 27 hosts Nick Hahn and Frank Vespe were joined by a number of guests, including trainer Phil Schoenthal, Colonial Downs track announcer Jason Beem, Darrell Wood, former jockey Ryan Fogelsonger, Laurel Park track announcer Dave Rodman, and much more.
The program focuses on Thoroughbred racing and breeding in Virginia, around the Mid-Atlantic, and across the country and will air each Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Eastern on ESPN Richmond (106.1 FM) and via livestreaming. The show airs simultaneously on ESPN Harrisonburg (106.9 FM and 1360 AM). And during the summer race meet at Colonial Downs, the program will expand to two hours.
The show switches to a two-hour format July 6 and will run through November 2.
