RACE 7: OC 80000b
1. #3 Our Shot (10-1) – Will likely be bet down some, but could be the mix of good value and one that gets the right set up to close into a hot pace
2. #1 Nobals (4-5) – Clearly the class of the race coming off a win in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint, but hasn’t run since then and faces an evenly matched group here
3. #8 No Nay Hudson (6-1) – This first time gelding has the ability to win from off the pace if necessary, which could be valuable in this field full of early speed
4. #4 Souper Quest (9-2) – Will be up on the lead with Boat’s a Rockin, but the pace may be too quick in here with a lot who want the front, making this a tough spot
RACE 8: Clm 14000n3L
1. #3 Agility (6-1) – This gelding by Practical Joke has shown some speed recently, and has some good races in the past against better competition that puts him in the mix
2. #2 Devil’s Cay (7-2) – Didn’t take to the turf, now switching back to his preferred surface with a good record at this distance and some recent races that compare well
3. #10 South Street (8-1) – Should improve with the distance cutback, running well amongst this class at six furlongs but may need some pace to aim at
4. #5 Quick Hammer (5-1) – Not as classy as For Some Reason, but could have the lead based on his last two tries which gives him an advantage at this distance
RACE 9: Grade II Bowling Green Stakes
1. #5 Soldier Rising (4-1) – Finishes second frequently and always seems to be knocking on the door, will hope for a quicker pace off a long layoff here
2. #2 Silver Knott (4-5) – Clearly the best if he runs a repeat of his last race, and Flavian Prat has won five out of six tries for Appleby this past year
3. #1 Ohana Honor (7-2) – McGaughey trainee by Honor Code has been close in graded company in his last two, and has a real chance if he stays near the front
4. #3 Sugoi (10-1) – Strong Tide may be better positioned here, but this gelding should be on the lead with Strong Quality and a chance to control the pace
RACE 10: Alw 95000n1x
1. #3 Miracle Mike (5-1) – Two for three winner at this distance with a race three back that may be good enough to win here, but may prefer a faster pace to close into
2. #7 Slap in the Face (3-1) – Took five tries to break maiden, but has run well in every race but his debut and should be in the mix here with a solid effort
3. #8 Sonic Speed (7-2) – Should be in a mid pack or stalking position early, with a few recent races that are some of the best of his career at six years old
4. #2 Laurel Valley (9-5) – Has some back class but hasn’t differentiated himself from this field enough to warrant a short price, typically fading late but may have the lead
