- RACES ON CARD: 8
- CARRYOVERS: None
- POST TIME: 12:30 p.m.
RACE 1
3. Onyx Ten | Trainer Capuano wins at a 42% clip with 2yo second-start maidens; solid debut outing |
4. Ade | Good early zip but could not hold off 3-2 winner |
1. Golden Philly | Hustled up to press pace after breaking a bit slow; no match for the winner but clear of the rest |
RACE 2
5. Bar Down Express | Latest was a bit of a disappointment when beaten favorite, but this contest could set him up nicely for stalk-and-pounce trip |
1. Discreet Devil | With the rail and his natural foot, should show the way early |
3. Estilo Magico | Figures the most likely winner; trainer Arriagada wins almost 30% of the time on steep drop-down |
RACE 3
1. Mexican Sugar | Has caught some solid rivals in recent special weight tries, with two-back winner, one of two to win next, a $445k Dubawi filly, and only one to run back from latest a next out winner; drop to claiming company should be sufficient |
6. Purring | Didn’t miss by much in latest versus similar at LRL |
5. Dirty Gold | Sire Flameaway off to a strong start on the grass |

RACE 4
4. Sirani | Always handled like a horse with talent, and trainer Ness, typically aggressive with moving horses down when not worth the money, opts to remain for $25k despite off-color outing in latest |
5. Goldrush Hottie | Makes third start off the bench and latest dirt try was solid versus similar; likely to establish the front |
1. Seeyouatthehop | Runner’s prior visit to the claiming ranks yielded a maiden score |
RACE 5
10. Judgement Time | Closed nicely two back to win when facing claiming rivals; show horse from that contest won Thursday at DEL |
1. Cloudy Bay | Moysey-Cedeno combo having good success at the meet |
3. Built Different | Faced better in SoCal; troubled trip in latest but can improve |
RACING NOTES
- Jockey Paco Lopez made the most of one of his infrequent visits to Delaware Thursday. The veteran rider was named on two horses and won with both, taking a starter/optional claimer aboard 7-5 favorite Artistic Reason for trainer Jack Abrams and then winning an allowance/optional claimer aboard Scaramouche for Lupe Preciado.
- With favorites defeated in four of the first five races, the early Pick 5 returned over $1,053. The big surprise in that sequence, which also spiced up both the middle and late Pick 5s, was race five winner Cesnola, who paid $30.20 to win. Carol Cedeno was up for trainer Kelly Rubley.
RACE 6
2. She’s Bulletproof | Decent try in latest versus better |
5. Fancy Princess | Likely to be speed of the speed |
1. Moon Me Again | Connex protected this one first off the bench and got decent try out of her; a step forward today would make her a winner |
RACE 7
5. Silver Style | Switches into Moysey barn after good try in allowance/optional claimer; winner ran second in a $20k starter at Saratoga next; only question mark is the two-turn trip, though earlier two-turn tries were ok |
1. Style Me Royal | Speedy sort is in good form but may be pressed on the front |
3. Awesome Flay | Even try versus similar in latest |
RACE 8
2. Digital Currency | Has faced better |
6. Estrellis | Wanna blow up the toteboard? Broke slowly, rushed up in green debut |
1. Little Hot Mess | Let’s see if she can bring turf form to the main track |
