- RACES ON CARD: 8
- CARRYOVERS: None
- POST TIME: 12:30 p.m.
RACE 1
6. Five a Side | Pricey yearling purchase seems to have been training well at Parx for hard-hitting Servis barn, which wins at 11% with 2yo firsters in special weight company; this one’s dam won at first asking and two of first three starts |
2. Rush Week | Godolphin runner bred to be an absolute star: by top sire Into Mischief (15% with 2yo firsters) and out of Grade 1 winner Panty Raid; Stidham barn can get ’em ready to win first out; only hesitation is that her stablemate seems to have had the edge on days they both worked |
5. Amalfi Drive | Seems to have outworked impressively bred stablemate |
RACE 2
2. Takeschargesmiling | Improving sort gelded since latest; winner of that contest came back to win second-level allowance at LRL; might be speed of the speed |
6. Team Travis | Nice-looking win in latest when wearing down 6-5 fave and could sit a good trip here; rider Haddock 4-for-8 at the meet |
1. Dutch Mills | Compton barn clicking at the meet and land this one in reasonable spot; closing sort could use some pace pressure up front |
RACE 3 – OFF THE TURF
4. Melt With You | Galloped in latest and trainer Ness is 5-for-20 second off the claim after maiden scores; was thrashed by #1 two back but took a nice step forward in last |
6. Dalinar | Should control the early pace; breeding more sprint-oriented, so a mile may be at the edge of his scope; winner of latest has won three straight |
1. Arrow Speed | Easy winner in most recent dirt try |

RACE 4
6. Congressman | Not a great return to action but nobody was beating Little Ni, whose only defeat, by a nose, came to G1 winner Book’em Danno; with plentiful speed to the inside, should get a favorable pace scenario and has plenty of back class |
1. Intrepid’s Legacy | Rides three-race win streak but will once again have to confront pace pressure |
3. Sir Mi Tolee | Has run two good ones since cut back to sprinting |
RACE 5 – OFF THE TURF
7. Husband Material | Has done best work with a pace to run at and should get that today; both career wins came on main track |
4. Mo Rewards | Likely favorite shifts into Ness barn; has prior decent main track tries |
8. Couperin | Likely to be involved early though not probably as fast as some others |
RACING NOTES
- Friday’s card was canceled after the sixth race because of excessive heat.
- Prior to the cancellation, jockeys Kevin Gomez and Julio Hernandez each won a pair of races.

RACE 6
7. Take Charge Chloe | Should sit a good trip with plentiful speed to the inside; winner of latest was beaten just two lengths in the Regret next out |
4. Golden Tabby | Defeated similar last out when slipping through inside versus longshot leader; has speed on either side of her |
6. Gracie Diamond | Maybe return to main track (and no millionaires in the field) will let this miss get back to better form |
RACE 7 – OFF THE TURF
6. Sagrada Ray | Most recent dirt try good enough |
7. Entrust | Gradually picking off conditions on main track |
8. My Danny Boy | MTO |
RACE 8

6. Rapid Ruby | Winner of last repeated versus better; will be one-two early |
