RACING NOTES

  • Jockey Kevin Lundie notched his first win of the meet Wednesday when he piloted Rue Cambon to a length victory in the seventh, a maiden special weight going 1 1/2 miles on the turf. Off as the 3-1 second choice, the Graham Motion-trained Rue Cambon paid $8.20 to win. Lundie is 1-for-24 at the meet.
  • Trainer Pedro Nazario, scuffling through a 1-for-69 start to the meet, perked up yesterday with two wins from three starters. He won the second when Tweet Away Robin, with Paul Luna Obregon up, ran down longtime leader R Averie Lynn, and the fourth when Bright Forecast (Raul Mena) stalked and pounced. In the nightcap, his Lady Gabrielle, with Kevin Lundie up, finished third.
