- RACES ON CARD: 9
- CARRYOVERS: None
- POST TIME: 12:30 p.m.
RACE 1
4. Flat Lucky | Has rounded back into form and looks best of these; winner of last was beaten for $4k next out, though, so let’s not get too crazy with the odds |
1. Bold Medication | Has excuses in last couple; best efforts are right there |
5. Runnin Joke | Trainer Jones wins 9% of the time with barn switchers |
RACE 2
9. Rolly | Drops to bottom after willing try versus runaway 3-5 winner; might be speediest here, so cutback to sprinting not a worry |
1. Storm Cat Eyes | Bit of a clunker in last but better efforts could win here; runner-up from latest graduated in next |
7. Golden Al | Competes with these |
RACE 3
3. Gavichi | Exits a pretty tough heat at Parx and two removed from a win versus similar; should sit a good trip |
1. Afleet Diva | Possible speed of the speed galloped two back and ran a sneaky good one in latest when part of three-horse speed duel |
6. Boca Royalty | Benefited from tripartite speed duel when sitting good trip in latest; probably doesn’t get quite that good a setup here |

RACE 4
3. Specialagentjonson | Flashed a bit of speed in only prior turf sprint and has kept better company; blinkers on today |
14. Office Corruption | Could be a major player if drawing in off the AE; plenty of early zip and stayed better in latest when dropped into claiming ranks |
1. Dark Dutchess | Move to turf was the right one and dirt sprint tries weren’t awful for level |
4. Hot On Your Heels | Cutback in distance a plus |
RACE 5
3. Big Brown Shoes | Galloped versus lesser in latest and should be able to use speed to best advantage |
4. Red Devolution | Caught a tough group in latest behind repeat winner and $375k earner Wendell Fong, who ran second |
6. We B Shackin | Ran on a bit in the lane in return from break and has better efforts to run back to |
RACING NOTES
- Jockey Kevin Lundie notched his first win of the meet Wednesday when he piloted Rue Cambon to a length victory in the seventh, a maiden special weight going 1 1/2 miles on the turf. Off as the 3-1 second choice, the Graham Motion-trained Rue Cambon paid $8.20 to win. Lundie is 1-for-24 at the meet.
- Trainer Pedro Nazario, scuffling through a 1-for-69 start to the meet, perked up yesterday with two wins from three starters. He won the second when Tweet Away Robin, with Paul Luna Obregon up, ran down longtime leader R Averie Lynn, and the fourth when Bright Forecast (Raul Mena) stalked and pounced. In the nightcap, his Lady Gabrielle, with Kevin Lundie up, finished third.
RACE 6
3. Iron Lady | Daughter of Omaha Beach is half to a two-time grass winner; sire wins at a gaudy 23% clip with 2yo debut runners, and barn can win first out |
4. Social Love | Credible debut behind a winner who was a $575k auction purchase |
9. Winning Streep | Dam won only start on the lawn, and sire Oscar Performance was a multiple Grade 1 winner on grass who’s turning into a very good turf sire |
RACE 7
2. Excitable Boy | Speedy sort’s latest was flattered when winner returned to win stake at LRL; doesn’t need the lead here and should get a good forward trip in short field |
3. Confiscated | Has run well in both prior starts, with debut outing producing three next out winners and runner-up from latest graduating in next |
6. Wickline | Will be odds-on by post time and has talent to burn; broke about four gates outward in last, which was first in over a year, and drawn on outside once again may be a concern |
RACE 8
3. Reckless Kelly | Protected in first off the bench, which may have been a prep to get back on turf for first time since last fall; prior turf tries might do the trick and should be tactical enough to get a good trip |
10. Duela Dent | Decent try versus better over soft turf in only prior try on the lawn; may be main speed |
4. My Girl Ginger | Should be running on late; no impact in the Stormy Blues, but prior try against allowance foes wasn’t bad |
5. White Heat | Graduated nicely in latest; lightbulb on? |
RACE 9
7. Russian Hammer | Rallied nicely in latest after sluggish break; has flashed a bit of speed before and if he can be a bit closer to the early action, he’ll be hard to turn back late |
1. Badbadbobby | Parx shipper’s only win came at 6f |
5. Wesley Thomas | Emerged from early four-way pace scramble early in last to go clear but could not hold off late charge of the much larger Grand Rozzo; should have company up front from #4 |
