RACE 1

5. Ade	Caught a couple of tough customers in first pair and major excuse when shut off approaching the turn in latest
1. Ferociousness	Can improve in second start; debut race has produced a next-out winner
3. Vicki Vale	Couple of decent works since disappointing turf bow, breeding suggests dirt preferred

RACE 2

2. Living in Style	Sharp outing in latest when just missing despite getting no breathers up front; all three to run back have finished one-two next
3. Cora’s Choice	Will look for similar trip to latest when rated back before unleashing kick; second off the bench
1. Lovely Liza	Last couple aren’t good but has earlier efforts that fit here; first in Hardesty barn

RACE 3

3. Winged Foot	Lone turf try – a year ago – a maiden-breaking score over this course; likely to have some speed to aim at
7. Sagrada Ray	Easier group should aid the cause
12. Mt Suribachi	Just a couple of races removed from efforts that contend here at possibly attractive price
1. Big Beautiful Wall	Only runner from rear of field to make much impact in latest at Penn behind ultra-speedy Whiskey Mac

5. Grace Reformed	Productive Finger Lakes meet and returns to a good spot here
1. Prize Debate	Has faced better; first start in two months
3. Titoschangedmyluck	Makes third start off the bench

RACE 5

6. Obstreperous	Overcame some trip trouble to thrash two-life rivals in first try on turf and should again have a pace to aim at; gets trainer’s go-to jockey
3. Momma Kim	Shortens up from two-turn tries
2. Hopesndreams	Won first-level allowance at MTH two back but no chance she gets as easy an opener as she did that day
4. Delta Charm	Might be speed of the speed; decent try in allowance company latest

RACING NOTES

Jockey Kevin Gomez swept the late double, which returned $69.70 for a one-dollar wager. Gomez won aboard Pappy’s Revenge ($8.60) for trainer Mac Robertson and then on Court Contender ($26.60) for Michael Simone. Gomez has 21 wins at the meet, sixth most.
The win by Pappy’s Revenge was one of two recorded by trainer Robertson, who also scored earlier in the card with Martynas’ Joy ($37.80). Cecily Evans was in the irons.
Favorites took a beating, as five horses off at 7-5 or less met defeat. The only favorite to win was first race victor Brit’s Candyman, off at 1.30-1. The early pick 5 returned $1,770, while the middle pick 5 paid $3,324.
The dirt track appeared kind to early speed; every horse on the lead at the first call on the main track finished first or second, including three that were between 4-1 and 15-1.

RACE 6

3. Joya Del Sur	Likely controlling speed should appreciate cutback from nine furlongs to eight; owns a couple of allowance wins
6. Divine Grace	Edged top selection in latest, needing every inch of 1 1/8 miles to get there; should be up close in pursuit
5. Kiss Me Hardy	Martinez-Kirby combo 3-for-4 in ’23-’24

RACE 7

2. Bayou Justice	Justify debut runner is out of a Grade 1 winner on the main track who also had decent turf tries; work tab catches the eye, with 8/27 work nearly a second faster than any other that day; Stidham barn can win first out
6. Zevon	Has caught some tough rivals; will look for stalk-and-pounce trip; up against it in latest behind slow pace
10. Romantic Lead	Runner whose dam was a stakes winner on the lawn tries it for the first time after useful main track bow; sire Union Rags below average with turf runners
9. American Memories	Keeps running decent races but not likely to get away as easily as he has last couple

RACE 8

3. Rumpusinthesky	Lightly raced sort switches into Del Cid barn (16% after trainer switch) and makes first outing since May; plenty of early foot
1. Super Constitution	Infrequent winner makes third start off the bench
5. Takeschargesmiling	Speed figs say he should win with ease but voided claim — for “unsoundness” — in latest makes us wary of likely short odds
