RACE 1

8. DeSantis	Rallied in improved effort in latest sprinting; front-end threat going two turns
1. Zoomer	Drops to lowest level
6. Gurt’s Warrior	Good try in latest after wide journey

RACE 2

4. Uptown Tappin	Breeding more sprint-oriented but trainer Ashby 3-for-4 with 2yo debuting at a mile or over last 2 years here; sharp gate work Aug. 24
6. Omaha Omaha	Walked out of the gate in grassy debut, losing all chance; ran on willingly for all that, and breeding says main track won’t hurt and could help
2. Sacred Thunder	Gets blinks on after three straight near-misses; gonna get bet

RACE 3

4. I’m Bleu Too	Not a terrible return to action versus better and can improve in second off the bench while landing in appropriate spot
7. Heirozan	Threat to wire the field; we’re guessing odds drift up from morning line, but be a bit cautious if not
6. Annieworkstoomuch	Couldn’t go with winner in late stages after chasing but stuck with it; lightly raced sort still has upside

RACE 4 – ON THE TURF

8. Just Keep Looking	First time out for this Great Notion colt who’s a half to 2021 Rosie’s Stakes (CNL) show horse Wish Me Home; Robertson barn 22% with debut 2yo
1. Staygoldponyboy	Flashed good speed in last on main track, is a half to a turf winner and by a sire that wins with turf sprinters
7. Beau Ciel	Lynch barn super-strong with debut 2yo

RACE 5

3. Heartfullofstars	First off the claim and move up to allowance company a positive sign for productive Ness barn; veteran one of few in a race brimming with speed who might run into it
2. Showstopper Copper	Could be speed of the speed; lightly raced sort’s only stumble came on the lawn
1. Let’s Go Mark	Has shown up in some odd spots (over 20-1 two of last three) but keeps churning out good races

RACING NOTES

Leading rider Jaime Rodriguez had a hat trick on Thursday, winning aboard Ferociousness ($7.00) in the opener, Titoschangedmyluck ($9.40) in the fourth, and American Memories ($3.80) in the seventh. The wins came for three different trainers: they were, in order, Jamie Ness, Chuckie Lawrence, and Mike Pino…
Lovely Liza won the day’s second race, a never-won-three claiming race with Alexander Crispin up. The win was the first of the meet, from 10 starters, for trainer Leslielyn Hardesty, who is 2-for-19 overall this year…

RACE 6 – ON THE TURF

13. A New Peace	For the first time in forever, gets what she seems to want: a two-turn race versus mid-priced claimers
2. Call On Clara	Rallied to lead in latest before settling for second versus repeat winner
5. Bramble Bush	Beaten favorite latest when throwing her head around just as the gates opened; middle move into contention but flattened out in the lane; has competed at this level
8. La Limonada	Useful return to action after two-year break and added ground a plus

RACE 7

2. Magnificent Pearl	Recent form a bit in-and-out but better efforts win here
4. Always Connected	Has won two of three and should be near the front early
1. Win Dixie Ronnie	Only prior two-turn try wasn’t great, but it was versus better and on synthetic
