RACE 1
5. Course (15-1) | Wasn’t competitive at Parx; should run better with the class drop from a state bred maiden in claimers |
3. Ade (8-1) | Showed clear improvement last time, can be in the mix with another step forward |
9. Kitty of War (10-1) | Questions with the others who have experience leaves this filly by Fog of War |
1. Longa Go Go (10-1) | First timer worked a bullet three furlongs over this track just a week ago |
RACE 2
5. Graft (3-1) | By Gun Runner, this four year old appears to be the winner if his form translates from turf to dirt |
3. Aspiring Comedian (6-1) | Back to his preferred surface, and has done his best running over this dirt course with a try two back that compares well |
8. Finger Roll (2-1) | First off the claim for Cathal Lynch, this first time gelding has run better than these but is too short a price at the morning line |
2. Arrogant Rider (8-1) | Has fared well when dropping down into claiming company, so gets a bump here after a rough try last time |
RACE 3 – ON THE TURF
2. Most Unusual Day (12-1) | Consistently competitive since switching to turf in this class and due for a win with a similar performance at value |
1. Camanoe (3-1) | Distance is no problem for this Jonathan Thomas trained filly by Catholic Boy who adds blinkers and drops to claiming |
9. Tartan Green (5-1) | Should factor in purely based on her last race with some trip versatility |
11. Queen Rocket (6-1) | Gets another crack at maiden claimers, but doesn’t appear to be a winner based on her recent form |

RACE 4
4. Freedom Road (5-1) | Tough to ignore a winner of five straight even as he stretches out in distance |
2. Street Glide (8-1) | Gelding by Jess’s Dream may be a winner if he runs back to last race’s form where he won by five lengths going away |
3. King of Hollywood (9-2) | Has a speed advantage; fared well against similar company at Monmouth and has two wins over this course |
8. Mr Mac Quhae (6-1) | Three straight wins including two at Delaware, but may take a bit more money than the morning line suggests |
RACE 5 – ON THE TURF
2. Go Take Charge (5-1) | Gelding by Will Take Charge has hit the board in his last five, with his better efforts over this turf course |
3. Uncle Truly (4-1) | More back class than this field; should be in the mix in this company |
12. Midnight Award (5-1) | Tougher post means his best shot is with a late run but will need pace to aim at |
10. Word for Word (15-1) | Very strong jockey trainer combo with five wins in seven tries together this meet has a chance at a top three finish |
DIRT PICKS: 9-6-3
RACE 6
4. Vamos Carlitos (4-1) | The lone mount for Romero Maragh on this Jonathan Thomas colt by Catholic Boy who may prefer turf but works well |
3. Bobby Rocky Jake (3-1) | Missed the start recently, and simply getting a better break should be enough to factor in here |
5. Never Till Now (8-1) | Debuts for Lynn Ashby and appears to be in good form with frequent works including a four furlong breeze just four days ago |
8. Let’s Have a Party (5-1) | Hasn’t been competitive yet, but has a top jockey trainer combo that is five for eight this meet |
RACE 7 – ON THE TURF
8. Jhirsch (7-2) | Exits from a competitive third at Saratoga, and should be the favorite with a strong chance off the class drop |
6. Two by Two (5-1) | Winner of three straight, his late closing kick is tough to ignore on turf with a prolific jockey trainer combo |
7. A Western Yarn (8-1) | Good back class and gets back to the right surface and distance coming off the bench |

DIRT PICKS: 12-1-11
RACE 8
2. Riccio (3-1) | Won by a whopping nine lengths in stakes company at Laurel last time and wins with a repeat of that |
3. Rainy Skies (6-1) | Drops from a stakes race, already with a good record in the money and should be improving now by Arrogate |
4. Goodafternoonoscar (8-1) | A threat with an early break, with only one other speed horse in this field |
RACE 9 – ON THE TURF
12. A Primera Vista (6-1) | Exits from Saratoga and had previously won three straight on turf with a five for six record on grass lifetime |
6. Well Into (6-1) | Filly by Into Mischief keeps good class and has thrived when running at this distance |
13. Paper Mansion (9-2) | May have more speed than A Primera Vista, and has never finished worse than second on turf in twelve tries |
1. Princess Javoncia (10-1) | Has run respectably in two recent stakes tries, winning both turf routes in optional claiming company this summer |
DIRT PICKS: 2-12-10
RACE 10
6. Marion Grace (5-2) | Back down to optional claiming where she has run her best especially at six furlongs |
5. Utterly Enchanting (3-1) | A tad over-matched in a stakes at Timonium; another with top efforts at six furlongs compared to this group |
1. Me Darlin Kathleen (6-1) | Four straight place finishes, but starts off the claim for Bruce Kravets and should be near the early lead |
7. Tweet Away Robin (8-1) | Stepping up in class which leaves her at a number, but in her top form and has a near fifty percent clip in the money |
RACE 11
7. Khoolzan (2-1) | Clearly the best of those with experience, and should win with a good effort |
8. Head of the Class (7-2) | May have been more impressive than Khoolzan last time in defeat, and could have the lead |
4. Mr Liam and Alan (10-1) | Obtained a solid speed figure in his debut, but steps up in class and needs to improve |
1. Good as He Gets (7-2) | Debuts with frequent works and a sharp jockey trainer combo that puts him above the others |
