RACE 1
2. Allenhurst (6-1) | Gets the nod with the class drop and switches back to dirt after a tough turf debut |
6. Estilo Unico (4-5) | First off the claim for Jaime Ness and has the speed figures to be a win contender |
1. Vongole (8-1) | Gradual improvement and a surface change should help; may need pace to close into |
RACE 2
6. Tie Breaker (7-2) | Has done his best running recently, with a strong record in the money lifetime |
2. Baltasar (9-5) | May have the speed advantage with Sassy Lad and won over this track last time |
4. Sassy Lad (3-1) | Distance specialist is a good bet to hit the board and won three of his last four |
RACE 3 – ON THE TURF
9. Batter Up (3-1) | Also eligible is clearly the one to beat if he draws in for Godolphin and Stidham |
7. Kitten’s Ploy (12-1) | Clearly took a step forward last time when switching to turf, and gets another crack at it albeit against better competition |
4. Authentic Kingdom (9-2) | First time gelding comes off a layoff for John Servis but needs to improve to win |
6. Pay Billy (8-1) | Finished well in the slop in his debut, now adding blinkers and distance which could help at a price |
DIRT PICKS: 9-12-1

RACE 4
2. Six the Hard Way (7-2) | Has been competitive in every race on a dry track amongst this class with good efforts as of late |
1. Bootsy’s Merlot (6-1) | When this filly by Congrats doesn’t fall behind early, she can be dangerous with a win two back by ten lengths |
8. Magnificent Pearl (2-1) | Has been a bit more consistent than the others, with a recent win over this track at eight furlongs |
5. Out of Luck (8-1) | Angelas Party Girl can be played at the right price, but this filly has been sneaky good at Delaware which warrants a look |
RACE 5
8. Matt’s Luck (9-2) | Closed well in his lone start, and gets a bit more distance to run into |
4. Head of the Class (7-2) | Trending in the right direction with consistent performances and drops slightly in class |
6. Pilote Comete (6-1) | Has shown recent improvement against this company with strong speed figures that put him in the mix |
RACE 6 – ON THE TURF
8. Two by Two (5-1) | This deep closer seems to be in a groove recently with some strong efforts over this turf course |
7. Trevesso (15-1) | A stakes winner in June, this colt has been inconsistent, but has the top end races and value to be played |
3. Uncle Truly (7-2) | Good trainer winning percentage and does well with this jockey; has the backclass and speed figures to win |
6. Card Trick (10-1) | Has run well off the bench and has good class on turf with a win two back that compares favorably |
DIRT PICKS: 5-1-9
RACE 7
2. Quick Recovery (3-5) | The only runner who has been consistently competitive in this group |
4. Tia Mayin (9-2) | Drops in class which may lead to some improvement but needs a sharper break |
7. Candy Cafe (8-1) | First time starter gets an edge on this underwhelming field purely off the fact that she may have more upside |
