RACE 1: CLAIMING $20,000 (N/W2L), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 5 1/2 FURLONGS (GRASS)

7-10-3-6

#7 Asknotwhatyoucando (4-1) makes her third start off a year-plus layoff and adds blinkers for Mike Trombetta. She showed mild punch and just missed third last out at Colonial Downs. She’ll look to take another step forward here, and will win if she does so. #10 Camila T (5-2) drops for a tag for the first time after facing much better, including graded stakes company, earlier in her five-race career. She showed speed and faded against first-level foes last out at Monmouth Park, and has worked well as she prepares for her first start since that early July effort. Her speed should be more potent against these. #3 Coracle (10-1) also drops for a tag for the first time, and should run a much-improved race cutting back from 1 1/16 miles. She broke her maiden on this track last November after sitting the trip just off the early pace.

RACE 2: CLAIMING $12,500 (N/W2L), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 6 FURLONGS

3-7-4-5

#3 Little Skippy (8-5) may have an unsightly 1-for-21 career record, but he’s also never faced a field as easy as this one. He’s run a brisnet figure of at least 76 in each of his last three dirt starts, while only two of his rivals have run in the 70s at any point within their last three. He should beat this group easily. #7 Bruder (6-1) drops to this level for the first time after a completely flat effort against better last out. He usually shows early speed, but wasn’t even close to the pace on a wet track last out. Returning to a fast track should help this lightly-raced gelding. #4 Sway’sinmydna (9-5) raced on the pace in his three starts at Monmouth over the summer, but couldn’t convert the trip and ended up second every time. He should hang around for a share once again.

RACE 3: MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT, 3, 4, AND 5-YEAR-OLDS, 1 1/16 MILES (GRASS)

1-5-4-2

#1 We Live This Game (5-2) ran a promising 78 on debut at Gulfstream Park in January, and has been in somewhat up-and-down form in his three starts since then for the Tony Margotta barn. He gets to face an easy field today, and should be able to handle these. #5 Karma’s Inthehouse (10-1) has improved with each start. He ran by far his best race last out. He opened up a clear early lead, set honest fractions, and lost by 1 1/4 lengths at 65-1. You won’t get that kind of price today, but he should still get the front-running trip he wants. #4 Spin It (7-5) adds blinkers for his first grass start for Cal Lynch. He ran respectable figures against better earlier in the year in Kentucky, and though he was no factor in either of those spots, some slight improvement off an upper-60s/low-70s race could win this.

RACE 4: MAIDEN CLAIMING $30,000, 2-YEAR-OLDS, FILLIES AND MARES, 6 FURLONGS

7-3-2-5

#7 Set for Life (5-2) raced wide throughout against better maidens last out at Delaware Park, and ran a much-improved 80 while losing by 3 1/2 lengths. He should enjoy the drop from straight maidens. #3 Edelweiss (5-1) went off as the 11-10 choice against gems of slightly lesser water last out, and battled all the way on the lead, ultimately losing by a nose to fellow dueler Bishop Meade. We’ll see how he does going from Rudy Brisset to Jose Corrales. #2 Irish Indygo (3-1) got bumped around at the start on debut and proved no factor. He still ran a respectable 72 that day, and has worked well at Delaware since then, including three furlongs in 36 3/5 from the gate on Friday.

RACE 5: CLAIMING $20,000 (N/W2L), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 5 1/2 FURLONGS (GRASS)

16-12-7-10

#16 Joey Tickles (8-1) found himself in a tough spot first off a 14-month layoff last out. He chased impressive gate-to-wire winner Great Kisser, but held clear of the others and finished second in a three-horse blanket finish. He has a tough draw today, but has a lot of upside, and should be tough in this spot. #12 Battlefield Park (3-1) broke his maiden in gate-to-wire style at fifth asking last out, showing that a cutback from two turns to one was just what he needed. #7 Surprise Hello (12-1) didn’t show much against first-level rivals in his first start off a 9 1/2-month layoff last out, but ran big races on this track towards the end of last year, and should improve on the class drop second off the bench.

RACE 6: CLAIMING $30,000 (CONDITIONED), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 6 FURLONGS

8-4-2-9

#8 Susan’s Mule (4-1) turned in a cery impressive 7 1/2-length win on this track two starts back, with a career-best 89, ND makes her first start since a completely flat effort at Delaware last out. She gets class relief upon her return, and returns to a track she likes. #4 Flower Mound (9-2) fought hard on the lead and prevailed second off the Anthony Farrior claim, and looks like she’s returning to the promise she showed in Florida earlier in the year. #2 Feelin So Lucky (6-1) made a bold move to win going away against non-winners of two foes last out, running a career-best 82 in the process. She’ll look for further improvement for the very hot Annette Eubanks barn.

RACE 7: CLAIMING $30,000 (N/W2L), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 1 MILE (GRASS)

13-2-7-6

#13 My Blessing (8-1) closed strongly to break her maiden two starts back at Parx, then lost a show photo to a next-out winner after traffic trouble in her next start. Jaime Rodriguez gets the call in her Laurel debut. #2 Faire Plaisir (3-1) is lightly-raced, and the inly one in the field to run at least a 76 in her last two races. She finished a strong-closing second against similar last out. #7 Sky Victory (5-2) takes a career-low drop in class for Brittany Russell, and has closed well in both of her grass appearances.

RACE 8: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING (N/W2X), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 6 FURLONGS

1-3-6-4

#1 Circle P (5-2) ran a strong second at this level last out,and ran an impressive 91 in a first-level victory two starts ago. He’s facing a bit of a subpar field for this condition, and should be tough to hold off late. #3 Play Like a Raven (7-2) is a precocious Maryland-bred 3-year-old coming off an impressive victory against first-level foes last out, in which he roared from off the pace and matched his career-best mark of 88. That was at seven furlongs, and into a fast pace, so the circumstances might not be as ideal here with a shorter distance and less speed. #6 Script (5-1) fought hard on the lead and got second at this level at Colonial last out, in his first dirt start in a while.

RACE 9: CLAIMING $30,000 (CONDITIONED), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 1 1/8 MILES (GRASS)

1-10-5-3

#1 El de Larry (7-2) has started to round back into his best form after getting paces to run into, and took matters into his own hands to win on the pace on dirt last out. He might find himself close to the pace in a race without much speed. #10 Missionaire (6-1) led a long way and held fourth three starts ago, and could find himself as the main speed in this contest. #5 General’s Duty (12-1) returns to grass after a pair of dirt tries, including a victory. He should get a nice trip just off the leaders, and his late pace figures are good enough to make a late impact.
