MHBA to host Handicapping 101 session
The Maryland Horse Breeders Association will host a “Handicapping Horse Racing 101” event Monday, October 28. The event is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and will last for one hour.
The session is free, and you can reserve your place via the Eventbrite page.
Frank Vespe, owner and founder of The Racing Biz, will lead the panel discussion. He will be joined by Maryland Jockey Club analyst Mackenzie Pfeiffer and longtime handicapper Gary Quill, whose picks previously appeared on TheRacingBiz.com and who also has been a part of the on-air team during the Timonium race meet for several years.
The three will share their handicapping knowledge and tips, and they will jointly handicap the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile, in which Maryland-bred Post Time is an important player. There will also be plenty of opportunity for audience members to ask questions.
More information and the registration form are available here.
